Municipal Entities

The work of the Municipality is supported by municipal entities and organizations that are overseen by the Municipal Council and report to it. These entities include development agencies or legal entities under public law. Their activities enhance and enrich the daily life of Athenians, both young and old!

Children are cared for in the city’s nurseries at the Municipal Nursery of Athens, residents can engage in sports at the indoor and outdoor courts, swimming pools, and gyms of  OPANDA, they can enjoy musical evenings at the Technopolis of the City of Athens, theatre and music at the venues of OPANDA, receive digital services from DAEM,  obtain social support from the Reception and Solidarity Center of the City of Athens , receive training from Innovathens at the Technopolis of the City of Athens and stay at the forefront of technological developments at the POIO Lab of the City of Athens 

Start-uppers will have the opportunity to develop new digital applications at the Athens Digital Lab of the City of Athens, the city’s cultural diversity is highlighted by the Athens Culture Net of the City of Athens, and the Development Athens promotes the city’s growth in tourism and entrepreneurship, while the pulse of the city beats on the municipal radio station Athina 984
