In Athens, there are playgrounds, indoor and outdoor courts, where recognized sports clubs as well as city residents can exercise, indoor gyms and swimming pools where one can train with a symbolic monthly fee, as well as significant sporting events.
The entity through which the City of Athens implements its sports program is the Culture, Sports & Youth Organization of the City of Athens (O.P.A.N.D.A.).
